There is one thing that all new moms seem to agree on. It’s doesn’t matter whether you gave birth naturally, c-section, in a car, on a boat, with an epidural, too quick to get an epidural. They all agree that mesh panties are a lifesaver.
Along with mesh panties, there are a few other things that practically every woman swears by. Any why is that? Because no matter which way the baby came into this world, mom gets to deal with the aftermath of the birthing process for weeks or months after.
So what do I need in my postpartum survival kit?
Here’s the short list-
- Mesh Panties
- Dermoplast
- Witch Hazel Pads
- Peri Bottle
- Pads
- Cotton Postpartum Panties
The good news is that most hospitals will provide a can of Dermoplast, mesh panties, pads, and a peri bottle. The bad news is that that can of Dermoplast won’t last long. Grab another can or two at a national chain pharmacy store (CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens, etc.). Most chain pharmacies carry Dermoplast. We’ve never had a problem finding it.
